DW is currently signed to WAR - What Are Records. Details about WAR can be found on their Web site at http://www.whatarerecords.com/. As evidenced in his discography, DW has been affiliated with different labels at different stages of his career. In reverse order, his affiliations have been WAR, Vanguard, Fresh Baked/KOCH, and A&M.
Yes. Dozens of unreleased songs have been recorded by DW in studio and live settings. David Wilcox's official website has a section called "Mikey Likes It" where recordings of unreleased songs are periodically uploaded by longtime friend and archivist Michael Murphy. Check this out at http://www.davidwilcox.com/dw/songs.php?category=MikesPicks. A few other studio tracks have been made officially available and are listed below.
After leaving A&M, DW's first album was Turning Point ... considered at the time to be a very experimental album for him. With a more organic, somewhat less commercial sound, this was the beginning of a more unrestrained approach to his songwriting. In DW's own words: "I had the time to explore the sounds and emotions of a bunch of new instruments and amps." DW continues to use this approach in subsequent studio albums. In the liner notes to Into the Mystery, he writes, "I have fallen in love with music all over again. I feel like my first ten recordings were practice and now I'm ready to begin. These songs are able to say what I never could find words for. Enjoy! Thank you for listening."
According to Tom Simonson, DW's manager: "Nothing is planned at this time ... but you never know."
